Speak Up – There’s An Elephant in the room is a campaign to encourage conversations that matter for patients living with life-limiting illnesses such as cancer, organ failure, HIV/AIDs and degenerative neurological conditions, and create awareness of how with good palliative care, patients’ quality of life can improve.
Every year, 4 out of 10 Malaysians will require palliative care at the end of their lives*. Currently less than 10% have access to it.
SPEAK UP aims to:
Empower patients and their families to have conversations that matter.
Reduce the stigma of living with a life-limiting illness.
Encourage the public to advocate for better access to quality palliative care.
SUPPORT HOSPIS
Bring joy and comfort to palliate care patients by donating RM15 and receive a token of appreciation.
All funds raised will be channeled to Hospis Malaysia, a registered non-governmental charity organisation
